Devoted supporters of the pop star are demanding that a man who breached a barricade and seized the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A viral clip depicts the individual from Australia pushing past photographers and rushing toward Grande while the cast proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being arrested", though legal records showed that he was set to be present on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was faced legal action.

History of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account includes recordings of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last winter.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a punishable act," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Several followers blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote one more comment on Instagram.

Some fans also criticised event staff at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

Numerous of fans had congregated in a mass of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore mall, including a number who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The motion picture, to be released on 21 November, is the sequel of a dual adaptation of the popular Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely relationship between two distinct characters.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of 2024 in the UK, and scored a dozen Academy Award nods, winning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
